How does a Photo Mosaic Wall work?
Our Photo Mosaic Wall software creates digital & physical mosaics from live event photos in real-time. The images are automatically pulled from multiple sources such as; on-site photo booths, Instagram, Twitter and event photographers.
Our interactive Photo Mosaic Wall makes everyone at the event feel like once you look at the big picture, we’re all in it together. From up-close, you see individual photos – further back, the live event mosaic is revealed.
In a ‘physical setup’: The Photo Mosaic Wall automatically prints images as stickers. Guests can engage in the interactive experience by placing their photo stickers on to the mosaic board.
In a ‘digital setup’: The mosaic generation process is either projected (using a projector) or displayed on a large-screen TV. The photos transition into their place on the mosaic in real-time.
Where do the images come from?
As mentioned earlier, images can be pulled from a range of sources. For example, Instagram & Twitter (hashtag), on-site photo booths and event photographers.
On-site photo capture
There are lots of options, some better than others. These can range from an on-site photo app, photo booth, or posted with a hashtag on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. However, we have found through experience that having an onsite photo booth or event photographer works the best and is a proven solution.
Instant Image Analysis
Once an image is taken onsite, or collected via a hashtag, it enters our powerful mosaic software. The software then analyses the photo for shapes/colours and determines the best location for that image. Smart mosaic software will also take into account the types of photos that have already been processed to make a future prediction of what is incoming and make adjustments in tone and placement accordingly.
Real-time Printing
Once the image analysis is completed, two copies are be printed: first a branded take-away for the guest and second a copy with row and column info for the guest to place on the mosaic. The speed and real-timeliness of print are important. We use industry-leading printers to make sure there is no delay in waiting for your images to be printed.

1. Photo Booths
Our Photo Booths are able to seamlessly send the photos taken throughout the event to the Photo Mosaic Wall. Guests are able to have a printed 6×4 image along with a mosaic tile to stick to the Photo Mosaic Wall.
2. Social Media
If you are using a hashtag for the event we are able to print any images posted on Instagram or Twitter via your hashtag.
3. Event Photographer
Event photographers can also trnasfer their images from the event so that they are displayed on the live event mosaic wall. We can provide event photographers if required.
